One of the key points of the PIF is the Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR).
It is composed of two parts:
Part A lists informations on the safety of the cosmetic product.
This part must contain the following elements:
- The Qualitative and Quantitative formula of the cosmetic product.
- The physical and chemical characteristics as well as the stability of the cosmetic product.
- Microbiological reports and challenge test result.
- Data on impurities and traces, and information about the packaging material.
- Information on the use and exposure to the cosmetic product
- Information on the exposure and the toxicological profile of the substances making up the cosmetic product.
- Undesirable effects and serious undesirable effects that have been identified.
- Any other relevant information about the cosmetic product.
Part B contains the assessment of the safety of the cosmetic product.
This part is composed of:
- The assessment conclusion
- Labelled warnings and instructions of use.
- The explanation of the reasoning leading to the conclusion of the assessment.
- The assessor’s credentials and approval of part B
As the report is the backbone of your PIF, let C.C.S take care of it and work with the manufacturer to get a full report without worrying about it.
